Calypso School First Foundation – Be Heard School Grant

The Calypso School First Foundation recognizes the importance of hearing and being heard in school. The Be Heard School Grant provides a school-wide sound-field reinforcement system (wireless microphone systems) to three schools in the 2009-2010 school year. The purpose of this grant is to ensure all children are in an environment where they can learn. The reinforcement systems have been shown to improve attention, particularly with A.D.D. students, and have a 43% reduction in students placed in special education referrals.

Selected schools will receive an estimated grant value of up to $37,150 to install wireless microphone system in up to 35 classrooms maximum. Eligible applicants include K-12 institutions, including public, non-profit, charter and private schools.

Deadline: June 5, 2009

Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
