American Indian and Alaska Native SANE-SART Program

The purpose of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) program is to provide funds for high-quality multidisciplinary victim-centered services and support for adult and child victims of sexual assault from the initial point of contact through prosecution. This program is also designed to complement an existing coordinated community response to sexual assault.
Awards will be administered in two phases with $108,000 apportioned in the first phase, and $300,000 in the second. Eligible applicants include federally recognized tribes, for-profit Alaska Native organizations, and nonprofit tribal organizations.
