Federal Research Grants for Advancing Novel Science in Women's Health Research (R03 and R21)
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services -- Advancing Novel Science in Women's Health Research (R03) The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is accepting applications for its Advancing Novel Science in Women's Health Research grant program. The purpose of the program is to support women's health research involving lifespan, sex/gender determinants, health disparities/differences and diversity, or interdisciplinary research. Particular interests include diseases and conditions that affect women, methodological advances, education and career development of women in science, quality of life, research collaborations and partnerships, prevention, treatment, treatment outcomes, and the biological and behavioral basis of sex and gender differences. Award amounts will vary by project; applicants must follow the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) award mechanism and submit a budget of up to $100,000 over two years in four $25,000 modules. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, small businesses, and state governments. Award amounts will vary by project; applicants must follow the NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21) award mechanism and submit a budget of up to $275,000 over an R21 two-year period in $25,000 modules with no more than $200,000 requested for any one year. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, small businesses, and state governments.
