Pennsylvania Department of Health - Active Schools Grant (Pennsylvania)
Through the Active Schools grant program, the state of Pennsylvania is partnering with schools to improve the health of Pennsylvania children. The objective of the Active Schools grant is to support schools that are making child health a top priority with a goal of having every child physically active for 30 minutes every school day.
Award amounts vary. A minimum of 40 elementary schools will receive an award. All public, private, parochial schools, and intermediate units which serve students in grades K-6 are eligible to apply. School buildings that have a minimum of 150 – 200 students will be given priority status during the selection process.
