Robert Wood Johnson Foundation – Active Living Grants
The Active Living Grant program aims to support research to inform policies and environmental strategies to increase physical activity among children and adolescents.  The program places emphasis on children and youth between the ages of 3 and 18 most at risk for obesity, including low income and minority children.  The program is calling for proposals for opportunistic, time-sensitive studies on emerging or anticipated changes in physical activity related policies or environment.  

A total of $1.5 million available. The maximum award for a single grant is $150,000. Eligible organizations include public entities and tax exempt nonprofits.

Deadline: July 1, 2011
