Access for Young People with Disabilities Grants

The Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) is dedicated to helping young Americans with disabilities maximize their potential and participation in society.  Through its National Grant program, MEAF is providing funding to programs that promote full inclusion of young people with disabilities in society, enabling young people with disabilities to have full access to educational, vocational and recreational opportunities and to participate alongside their non-disabled peers.

Award amounts vary.  Nonprofit organizations that have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status are eligible to apply.  Proposals should be broad in scope and include projects that can be replicated at multiple sites.  Preference is give to organizations and projects that reflect collaboration among groups and actively involve individuals with disabilities in program planning and implementation.
