Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy – 2011 Family Literacy Grants
The 2011 Family Literacy Grants are aimed at developing or expanding programs that support literacy for children and their primary care givers. The proposal must be for an instructional literacy program that has been running for at least two years and includes at least one of the following aspects: literacy for adults, parent education, pre-literacy or literacy instruction for children pre-K through grade three, and inter-generational literacy.
A total of $650,000 is available for grants averaging $65,000 each. Eligible organizations must have nonprofit or public status and be in operation for at least two years prior the application.
